Winding down and Starting Fresh

Twenty-fourteen is almost gone. I don’t know about you, but as the years pass it seems like it is less and less a momentous occasion. I quit making New Year’s resolutions several years ago. But, I still feel the new year is a great time for a fresh start! I’m sure I’m like many of you. Over the years I’ve made resolutions to lose weight, go to the gym, be healthy, start or quit a habit, etc. only to let the resolution fade in January, or only follow through part of the year. At one point I even said I was making new year’s ‘goals’ instead of resolutions just because it sounded better to me and wasn’t such a let down when I stopped.

I’m notorious for not finishing projects. Currently I have at least 6 or 7 crochet projects I’ve started and not finished. I love the excitement of a new project, the challenge of a new pattern and new color combinations! I’m sure this is why I start projects and fail to finish them. Every once in a while I go through a ‘finishing’ phase. I just pick up a project I’ve already started, finish it and move on to the next project in progress. I always feel so accomplished when I do this!

In the following weeks I plan to finish up most of the projects in progress. I’ll try to post them here as I finish them. This year I would also like to begin regularly list items on http://www.etsy.com, organize my yarn stash and grow this blog. I truly appreciate any shares to help me grow!
